About the Counselor

Mrs. Abby Hulin

Hi!  My name is Abby Hulin and I am so proud to say I am the School Counselor at Reagan! This is my fifth year being a school counselor at Reagan Elementary!

As a school counselor, it is my job and joy to help a kid through those "tough to navigate" times.  I have learned that often, kids need a "neutral someone" to talk to who can listen and help them see the bigger picture.  A lot of times that is all it takes for kids to bounce back and feel like themselves.  Sometimes, however, it might take more visits to the counselor or even outside counseling to help a kid.  Regardless, we are here for all kids in all situations. 

I use a lot of art therapy techniques to help ground and regulate the big emotions kids often feel.  Sometimes I focus on play therapy techniques and cognitive behavioral techniques.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of Texas and am also a certified Trauma & Resilience Practitioner.
